The exhibition Fabric of Democracy: Propaganda Textiles from the French Revolution to Brexit, curated by design historian Amber Butchart, runs at the Fashion and Textile Museum, London, from 29th September 2023 to 3rd March 2024.
The exhibition "traces how fabric designers and manufacturers have responded to political upheaval from the French Revolution through to Brexit". A small section on Revolutionary textiles showcases a printed fabric from the Musée de la Toile de Jouy depicting the Fête de la Fédération of 1790.
