Christies have announced the highlights of their ninth "Exceptional sale" which will take place on 20th November.

Among the lots of interest:
- Five pieces of furniture, including a pair of pedestals and a slant-front desk, featuring marquetry by the master cabinet maker André Charles Boulle.
- A 17th century Savonnerie tapestry which shows the influence of Persian and Turkish design.
- A "tête-à-tête” marquise (a two-seater settee) by Jean-Baptiste-Claude Séné from a suite created in 1789 immediately prior to the Revolution for Madame Élisabeth.
- Two Sèvres plates from Napoleon's wedding banquet and a hand-drawn battle plan of Rivoli.
