The Prado Museum in Madrid officially announces its recent purchase of two important early works by Boucher, the Birth of Adonis and the Death of Adonis, painted shortly after Boucher's return from Rome in 1731.

To mark the acquisition, Françoise Joulie, the world's leading expert on Boucher, delivered a lecture at the Prado on 12th November. Her talk is available YouTube, but only in French with Spanish subtitles.
