Marie-Antoinette: An Eye for Beauty is an installation/event at the Wallace Collection, London which runs from 2nd February to 31st March 2026.
A free trail highlights different pieces from the Vollection relating to Marie-Antoinette:
Among the objects featured are gilded profile portrait of the queen, made around 1774, various Sèvres vases and a desk by Riesener. Also featured are two paintings commissioned for Marie-Antoinette's bedchamber at Marly, "Sleep" by Nicolas-René Jollain (1732–1804) and and "Awakening" byHugues Taraval (1729–1785)
