Rothchild porcelain exhibition

A new exhibition at the Mobilier National (42 Avenue des Gobelins, Paris) showcases 18th-century Sèvres porcelain from the Rothschild family collections.  ‘Sèvres, a Rothschild Passion’, opens on  17th April and runs through to 26th July 2026.

For the first time, this project brings together the Sèvres & Mobilier National institutions with the Académie des Beaux-Arts, of which the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a jewel on the French Riviera. Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, one of the family’s greatest “Sèvres enthusiasts,” bequeathed her Mediterranean villa in 1934—home to a fabulous collection of Sèvres porcelain—to the Académie des Beaux-Arts.

The exhibition benefits from exceptional loans from prestigious institutions such as the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles, as well as international institutions like the Metropolitan Museum and Waddesdon Manor, in addition to loans from private collectors.
