A new graphic novel Toussaint Louverture: The Story of the Only Successful Slave Revolt in History is published by Verso.
The text is a play by C. L. R. James (author of The Black Jacobins) that opened in London in 1936 with Paul Robeson in the title role. Illustrations are by Sakina Karimjee and Nic Watts. RRP: £14.99.
