Madame Élisabeth - beatification update

On the 230th anniversary of Madame Élisabeth's death on 10th May, OSV News publishes an update on the ongoing proceedings for her beatification.

According to her Postulant, Father Xavier Snoëk, the investigation by the diocese is scheduled to be completed by early 2026, when the dossier will be brought to Rome.

Father Snoëk also suggests Élisabeth might make a suitable patron saint for single people - but I thought St. Catherine was already the patron saint of spinsters?

OVS News (Europe),  Postulator: ‘Madame Elisabeth,’ who died in 1794, could be patron saint of ‘singles’ today
