On Colin Jones

The journal French History publishes a special issue, "Revolution, Art, and Medicine in French History: Essays in Honour of Colin Jones".

Two of the articles, which discuss Colin Jones's work directly, are available on open access:

J. B. Shank, "The Colin Jones way, or historical scholarship with a wink and a smile",
https://doi.org/10.1093/fh/crad061

Sarah Easterby-Smith et al. "Colin Jones: fox and hedgehog historian of France" https://doi.org/10.1093/fh/crad063

PS. Why do Robespierre experts always look so happy?  Is it because they know no-one can guillotine them? (Below: Peter Mcphee and Hervé Leuwers)
