On Friday, 8th March, to mark International Women's Day, flowers from the President of the Republic were left at the tomb of Olympe de Gouges at the Chapelle expiatoire in Paris.
The Chapelle marked the day with a guided visit themed on women of the Revolution: Olympe de Gouges, Charlotte Corday et Manon Roland. Further tours are scheduled to explore visits on Olympe de Gouges, the duchesse d’Angoulême and the trial of Marie-Antoinette.
