The exhibition "Jean-Baptiste Oudry and the Royal Hunts of Louis XV" takes place at the Château de Fontainebleau from 12th October 2024 to 27th January 2025.
The exhibition will centre on Oudry's monumental cartoons for the series of Gobelin tapestries of the Royal Hunt woven between 1733 and 1746. The paintings, eight out of nine of which belong to the Fontainebleau collections, have recently been the subject of an ambitious restoration project funded by public subscription.
